overprepaired

i am a little over 12 and a half and just had my first period. when i had first heard of them, (age 10 or 11) i studied until i knew everything to do in any situation, and even the science of periods. i got really scared, but it did not happen that year.i knew my mom had hers when she was 12, so i always prepaired. then one day, i came to school feeling like crap. i thought i was sick, but at lunch my friend made a joke of it being PMS. turns out is wasnt really a joke. the next day, i went to the bathroom at home, and found a spot of blood in my underwear. i wondered if this was it. that very day i was even thinking of bringing pads to school just in case it happened. anyway, i wiped with some toilet paper and found it was covered with blood. before i thought that i would cry or something, but when i had it for real, i felt nothing at all. i was so prepaired that i did not even feel surprised. i quickely told my mom i thought i had my period (i was not sure since there was only a drop in my underwear but a lot “down there”) and she just said to wait and see if i really had it. i did,of course

I just wanna say to the girl that never had it, to just go on a website and check out your questions. always keep a pad in your bag even if you never had your period yet. i dont have a great relationship with my mom, but you still have to tell her anyway so suck it up cuz shes dome this before. shes expecting it too. she wont panic because if you are over 11, she is already expecting it from you so chill. dont cry of anything, even at school just tell a friend of teacher or any adult because its just life.
